I am Richard Donald, the owner of Destiny Design Christian Counseling, located in Greenville, South Carolina.

Most of my life I have felt compelled by God to minister to the needs of others by supporting, helping, encouraging, and empowering people to experience freedom, wholeness, and healing. I draw on both my past and present vocations to provide my clients with the tools and resources to overcome personal, professional or relational obstacles. My passion for Christian Counseling arises from personal experiences of healing and my conviction that with God we can do what seems impossible. Using my professional insight, I can offer you a partnership that will lead you to a deeper understanding of how thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors influence your view of self, others, and circumstances. This journey will help you discover the true, authentic “self” that God created you to be. "I help you heal from your past, align with your purpose, and help you become the best version of yourself—spiritually, mentally, and emotionally."

How does it fit together?

Reconnection, Reconciliation, and Restoration are all God’s initiative through Christ. Therefore, my role as your counselor is to be a guide as you Reconnect to God, self and purpose, Reconcile important relationships and experience Restoration from brokenness. It is always my mission to help people see themselves as God does– through a lens of grace and not through the lens of mistakes.

Reconnection-Counseling

Reconnection simply means to return after being absent or connecting something that has been severed. Reconnection is learning to be curious and attentive to what you’re going through while developing compassion and a deeper understanding of self and relationships.

Counseling — Healing the Past

Christian Counseling helps people address trauma, pain, and emotional wounds from their past. It aligns with the reconnection side of the work, creating a safe place for people to be heard, healed, and whole.

Reconciliation-Coaching

Reconciliation is a way of renegotiating your relationship and coming to terms with a new way of functioning –whether you are leaving or staying in a relationship. However, reconciliation does not always mean restoration.

Coaching — Building the Future
This represents the life coaching side: guiding you to set goals, create effective strategies, and step into the future God has in store for you. It’s the forward-moving side of Destiny Design.

Restoration-Clarity

Restoration is rebuilding a relationship to what it was originally intended to be. Restoration begins with honesty and authenticity, and it occurs when an individual agrees to seek healing and pursue a new way of moving forward in unity, with a purpose.

Clarity — Aligning the Present
Clarity bridges the gap between counseling and coaching. It’s where clients begin to see who they are, what they value, and where they’re going. It captures your role as a vision caster and mindset mentor.
